Terms of use
Last updated: October 2, 2026
These terms apply when you use Probably.io (“Probably”, “we”), the website and the study app. By using it you agree to them.
What Probably is
Probably is a study tool for a first course in probability and statistics. Lessons, practice, drills, on-device grading and the formula sheet are free. The AI tutor, screenshot reading and speech features use daily AI credits, which the Pass raises.
Your account
You sign in with Google and are responsible for activity on your account. One person per account; don’t share it or create accounts to collect extra free credits.
The Pass and AI credits
- Every account gets a free daily allowance of AI credits. Credits refresh at midnight UTC and don’t carry over to the next day.
- The Pass is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. It raises your daily AI credits for as long as we run Probably. Nothing renews and there is nothing to cancel.
- Daily credit amounts are fair-use limits shown in the app. Credits have no cash value and can’t be transferred.
- Each AI action uses credits as shown in the app. Credits that have been spent are not refunded.
- If you believe you were charged by mistake, contact us at support@probably.example and we will look into it.
AI answers can be wrong
The line-by-line grader is a computation: it evaluates what you wrote. The AI tutor is not — its explanations, hints, suggestions and readings of screenshots can be wrong. Check anything important, and don’t rely on Probably as your only source for an exam or a grade.
Acceptable use
- Don’t use Probably to cheat in an exam or assessment where outside help isn’t allowed.
- Don’t upload content you don’t have the right to share, or content that is illegal or abusive.
- Don’t try to break, overload or get around the limits of the service, or access other people’s data.
- Don’t use the tutor for anything other than studying.
We may suspend accounts that break these rules.
Your content
Questions, screenshots and work you add stay yours. You allow us to store and process them to run the service for you, including sending them to the providers described in the privacy policy.
No warranty
Probably is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. We don’t guarantee that it will be available, error-free or that it will help you pass. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of it.
Changes
We may update these terms. If a change is significant we will say so in the app. Continuing to use Probably after a change means you accept the new terms.
