Privacy policy
Last updated: October 2, 2026
This policy explains what Probably.io (“Probably”, “we”) collects when you use the site and the study app, why, who else processes it, and how to delete it. We try to collect as little as the product needs.
Using Probably without an account
You can use the lessons, practice, drills, grading and formula sheet without signing in. Grading that doesn’t involve the AI runs on your device. Until you sign in, your progress is stored only in your browser’s local storage, on that device.
Your account
To use the AI features you sign in with Google. From your Google account we receive your name, email address and profile picture, and we store them to identify your account. We don’t receive your Google password.
What we store once you sign in
- Your profile: the level you chose, your language and any notes you give the tutor about yourself.
- Your progress and attempts: the lines you write in practice, whether each was right, and your mastery per topic, which drives the weak-spot map and the practice track.
- Whether you hold the Pass, your daily AI usage, and a ledger of what each AI action spent.
- Questions you save to your bank: the extracted text of the question and, if it came from a screenshot, the image itself, stored in Vercel Blob.
Payments
The Pass is sold through Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the merchant of record: it processes the payment, handles sales tax and VAT, and sends your receipt. Your card or PayPal details are entered on Lemon Squeezy’s checkout and handled by Lemon Squeezy and its payment processors, not by us; we never see or store your card number. We receive a record of the order (that you bought the Pass, the amount and Lemon Squeezy’s order reference) so we can unlock it on your account. The charge appears on your statement as “LEMSQZY*” followed by the store name. Lemon Squeezy keeps its own records of orders under its own privacy policy.
The AI tutor and screenshot reading
When you ask the tutor something, ask for a hint or suggestions, or upload a screenshot to be read, we send your message, the relevant context from your screen (the question, your lines, anything you circled) and the screenshot to our AI provider, Anthropic, so it can produce the answer. Don’t include personal information in screenshots or messages that you don’t want processed this way.
Speech
If you ask a question out loud or have an answer or a lesson read aloud, the audio of your question or the text to be spoken is sent to ElevenLabs to transcribe or synthesise it. Narration of the shared lesson may be cached and reused for everyone; it contains no personal data.
Cookies and local storage
- A session cookie that keeps you signed in.
- A language cookie that remembers whether you chose English or Hebrew.
- Your theme choice (light or dark), and before you sign in your progress, kept in your browser’s local storage.
We don’t use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Deleting your data
You can delete your account from the app’s settings at any time. That removes your profile, progress, attempts, Pass, AI usage and ledger, and your question bank, including the screenshots stored in Vercel Blob; a deleted Pass can’t be restored. You can also clear your browser’s local data for this site. If you can’t sign in or want us to delete your account for you, email support@probably.example.
Records that Lemon Squeezy keeps about orders are held by Lemon Squeezy and are not removed by deleting your account.
